Background
The Agents of Change Foundation (ACF) is a youth and women-led Zambian organization founded in 2013. The organization was established to amplify youth voices by equipping young people, particularly youths, women and marginalized groups, with advocacy tools and platforms for meaningful participation in governance, climate action, and community development.
Agents of Change Foundation (ACF) is recruiting passionate young leaders in Kabwe for a community empowerment and advocacy project.
The Opportunity
Volunteers will drive community development, social justice, and agriculture initiatives.
Key Activities
- Youth Committee: Forming a representative group to lead youth consultations and advocacy.
- Policy and Rights: Influencing national policy on extractive sector rights and compensation processes.
- Agriculture: Establishing community seed banks and hosting knowledge-sharing circles.
- Media Advocacy: Raising public awareness through physical and online campaigns.
Who Can Apply
- Age: Between 18 and 25 years old.
- Location: Based in the target community/project area, Kabwe.
- Passion: Driven by community engagement, youth participation, and social justice.
- Availability: Ready to attend trainings, meetings, and consultations, both physical and online.
- Teamwork: Willing to work respectfully with diverse groups of people.
Terms and Conditions
- Voluntary: Participation in this program is strictly voluntary.
- Commitment: Consistent attendance and active participation are required.
- Conduct: Respectful and professional behavior is mandatory throughout the program.
- Selection: The organizing team reserves the right to make final participant selections.
- Feedback: Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
