About the Company and Role:
Wagtech Zambia Ltd is seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Executive / Business Development Officer to promote and sell laboratory, analytical, environmental, and water testing equipment across Zambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating leads, developing client relationships, preparing quotations, following up on tenders, and achieving sales targets in both public and private sectors.
The role requires a highly organized, confident, and professional individual with strong communication and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in laboratories, mining, universities, water utilities, research institutions, hospitals, agriculture, food processing, and industrial sectors.
- Promote the company’s range of laboratory and analytical equipment.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and tender responses.
- Follow up on customer inquiries and maintain strong client relationships.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and site visits.
- Meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales reports.
- Coordinate with suppliers and technical teams regarding product specifications and delivery timelines.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and new opportunities.
- Attend exhibitions, conferences, and client meetings on behalf of the company.
- Assist in marketing campaigns and social media business promotion where necessary.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Biomedical Sciences, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years experience in sales or business development.
- Experience in laboratory, medical, scientific, mining, or industrial equipment sales is an added advantage.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email communication.
- Ability to prepare professional quotations and reports.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license is an added advantage.
