Background
Zambeef Products PLC is the largest integrated cold chain food products and Agribusiness Company in Zambia and one of the largest in the Southern Africa region. It is involved in the primary production, processing, distribution and retailing of beef, chicken, pork, eggs, dairy, fish, flour, stock feed and day-old chicks throughout Zambia and the surrounding region.

Responsibilities
The Required Skills for this Role Include:
- Planning the canteen menu.
- Ensuring the foods supplied are of good quality and fit for human consumption and stock rotation (FIFO) isdone to prevent spoilage.
- Ensuing that the food is properly cooked and served to employees on time so that they go back for work without wasting too much time.
- Planning, preparing and requesting weekly rations.
- Managing the canteen staff to ensure that catering principles are observed and shifts are efficiently and effectively run.
- Liaising with the Human Resources Advisor on the time keeping of employees, overtime and planning leave for the staff.
- Maintaining high levels of efficiency in staff by coaching, counselling disciplining subordinates.
- Liaising with all heads of Departments on issues of canteen changes such eating time table, in case of any unforeseen circumstances.
- Submitting weekly or monthly reports to the Human Resources Advisor and Stocks Accountant the trends of canteen stocks, perishables and consumables.
- Reporting to the Human Resources Advisor, any challenges affecting the operations of the canteen with immediate effect.
- Ensuring the food safety principles are adhered.
Qualifications
The Required Qualifications are:
- Grade 12 School Certificate
- Diploma/Degree in Catering and Hotel Management
- 2-3 years previous experience
- Skilled in planning, organizing and managing the canteen
- Basic computer proficiency/literacy
