We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaning Supervisor to join our Processing Department. The role is critical in maintaining the highest hygiene and sanitation standards required for a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment, specifically in the handling and processing of perishable products.

The successful candidate will oversee cleaning operations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, company hygiene protocols, and environmental health standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coordinate, and support the cleaning team within the Processing Department.
  • Ensure cleaning and sanitation activities meet company standards, industry regulations, and food safety requirements (ISO, etc.).
  • Implement and monitor cleaning schedules, paying special attention to equipment, processing areas, and cold storage facilities.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety protocols.
  • Train and guide staff in cleaning practices, chemical handling, and personal hygiene.
  • Maintain cleaning records and reports for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Ensure appropriate stock levels of cleaning materials and PPE are maintained.
  • Promote a culture of cleanliness, safety, and accountability in line with organizational values.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 12 certificate with 5 O’ Levels.
  • Diploma in Environmental Health or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar supervisory role within FMCG, food processing, or a hygiene-critical environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is essential.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in cold/processing environments.
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office) for reporting and record-keeping.

Additional Requirements

  • Physically fit and able to perform tasks in a processing environment.
  • Flexible and willing to work shifts, weekends, or extended hours when required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene.
