JOB DETAILS:

Roles And Responsibilities
• Transporting finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing retail and distribution centres.
• Inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
• Input and sign off the “Load Sheet” system for each stage of the loading and unloading process.
• Seal the truck in the presence of the Receiving Manager & Security officer before departure.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions.
• Report defects, accidents or violations.

Academic Qualification:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate /GCE/VALID DRIVERS LICENSE

Work Experience And Skills:
• Minimum 3years in the Transport and logistics Industry
• Minimum experience of 5[+] to 8[+] years driving in Zambia
• Physical Exam Required: Medical Report & Police Clearance

Level & Category Of Vehicle
• PSV DRIVING LICENSE – Category G or DG

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: bachelor degree
