Background

Zimworx is looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Controller to oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and the development of internal control policies and procedures. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with deep NetSuite expertise, a strong SaaS financial background, and hands-on experience with AI-enabled finance automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, payroll, revenue recognition, and tax compliance.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate GAAP-compliant reporting.
• Manage and optimize the NetSuite ERP system; ensure data accuracy and seamless system integrations.
• Develop and maintain scalable internal controls and accounting policies to support growth.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in collaboration with FP&A.
• Monitor key SaaS metrics (ARR, churn, CAC, LTV) and provide strategic insights to leadership.
• Implement and leverage AI-powered finance tools to streamline workflows, improve reporting, and reduce manual effort.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams to align financial strategy with business goals.
• Support audits, tax filings, and compliance activities in collaboration with external partners.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing accounting team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or senior finance role.
• Prior experience in SaaS financial management, including subscription billing, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and SaaS KPIs.
• Strong proficiency in NetSuite ERP (multi-entity a plus).
• Experience implementing or utilizing AI/ML tools for finance operations (AI-driven reconciliation, predictive forecasting, expense automation).
• Experience working in a U.S.-based firm strongly preferred.
• Proven track record of building scalable financial systems in high-growth environments.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
