Programme Manager
The Programme Manager is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing all projects, operational finances, and contributing to the organisation’s strategic development. This role combines programmatic oversight with hands-on operational management to ensure activities are mission-driven, evidence-based, and aligned with organisational goals.
You will play a key role in coordinating project implementation, donor relations, and community engagement, while also managing communication outputs such as social media, website updates, and reporting. The position requires close collaboration with partners, stakeholders, and field teams to strengthen the impact and visibility of the organisation’s conservation work.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all conservation and community projects.
- Lead project budgeting, financial tracking, and compliance processes.
- Support strategic development and proposal preparation for donors and partners.
- Coordinate Monitoring & Evaluation systems and data management.
- Maintain active relationships with donors, partners, and community stakeholders (especially those in Germany and Spain).
- Oversee communication activities including social media, reports, and website content.
- Supervise field logistics, guest coordination, and basic tourism operations.
Requirements
- Education: MSc (or equivalent) in ecology, conservation biology, environmental management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of experience in project or program management within the conservation or non-profit sector.
- Language Skills: Fluent English, Fluent Spanish and Fluent German
- Competencies:
- Strong strategic and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and partnership management
- Financial and M&E literacy
- Proficiency in MS Office; GIS or data tools are an advantage
- Other: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
