The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, fixed asset management, inventory control, compliance with accounting standards, and supporting effective financial management through accurate record-keeping and internal controls.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with IFRS and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Manage and maintain the Corporation's Fixed Asset Register, including asset acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation.
  • Oversee inventory and stores records, stock reconciliations, and periodic stock counts.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits through timely preparation of financial information and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, accounting standards, and statutory obligations.
  • Support budget preparation, financial analysis, and management reporting.
  • Strengthen internal controls and contribute to the automation and improvement of finance, asset, and inventory management systems.

Personal Attributes/ Skills

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
  • Sound understanding of fixed asset and inventory management.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and reconciliation skills.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Partial Accounting qualification such as CA Zambia, ACCA, ZICA, CIMA, or equivalent is a must.
  • Minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience.
  • Must be a registered member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).
