JOB DETAILS:
1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant Chef will support the Head Chef in all kitchen operations:
- Food preparations e.g. chopping, measuring, cooking
- Meal plating
- Maintaining hygiene,
- Managing inventory
- Ensuring smooth service
- Menu planning
- Ordering, staff supervision
- Upholding health/safety
2. SKILLS
- Teamwork and Communication
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety & hygiene
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Initiative and problem-solving
- Physical stamina (standing, lifting)
3. EDUCATION
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Food Production Certificate or Equivalent
- At least 1 year experience
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 12
Level of Education: professional certificate
