About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Officer to join our growing team in Lusaka. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role is ideal for someone who is ambitious, target-oriented, and passionate about business development.

Key Responsibilities / KPIs

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand the company’s client base.
  • Achieve agreed monthly sales and revenue targets.
  • Generate and qualify leads through networking, market research, and outreach.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Prepare and deliver professional business proposals and presentations.
  • Track and report weekly and monthly performance against set targets.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends and competitive opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain an updated pipeline of potential clients and opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a target-driven environment.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic CRM tools is an added advantage.
