KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervision and coordination: Lead and guide a crew of laborers and coordinating their daily tasks and ensuring smooth project flow.
• Maintain high standards for workmanship, ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols, and perform quality checks on concrete placement, curing, and finishings.
• Resource management: Plan and coordinate the use of labor, plant, and materials to meet project deadlines and budgets. This includes tracking material consumption and preventing waste.
• Ensure the correct placement, alignment, and tying of steel reinforcement as per approved specifications of the road and drainage construction.
• Monitor the curing process to ensure it meets project specifications.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and enforce safety compliance.
• Liaise with site engineer,to resolve any technical or alignment issues.
• Provide training and guidance to the crew on proper handling of materials and equipment.
• Ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of road construction machinery, such as pavers and vibrators.

Qualifications and experience

• Proven experience in a supervisory role on concrete and road construction projects.
• Strong understanding of drainage systems, concrete works, and road construction techniques.
• Proficiency in interpreting construction plans and specifications.
