JOB DETAILS:
FARM MANAGER – BROILER FARMING
Location: Rufunsa District, Lusaka Province
Farm Capacity: 5,000 – 20,000+ Broiler Chickens per Cycle
Reporting To: Farm Owner / Operations Director
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and disciplined Broiler Farm Manager to oversee daily operations at our commercial broiler production farm. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in broiler production, including feed management, biosecurity enforcement, mortality control, staff supervision, and production cost accountability.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a manager who understands the full broiler production cycle—from day-old chicks to market weight—and can operate the farm with professionalism, integrity, and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science, Poultry Science, Agriculture, or Veterinary Science.
Candidates with a Diploma in Agriculture / Animal Production and 2–3 years commercial broiler experience will also be considered.
Experience & Technical Competence
Minimum 3 years managing a commercial broiler farm (5,000+ birds).
Strong understanding of broiler nutrition, feed conversion, and growth targets.
Proven ability to enforce biosecurity measures and operational SOPs.
Experience supervising farm staff and preventing losses, wastage, and theft.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
High integrity and ability to work under minimal supervision.
Basic computer literacy for reporting (Excel, WhatsApp, Email).
