Responsibilities

The key responsibilities for this role include but not limited to the following:

• Develop high‑level and detailed solution designs for applications, platforms, and infrastructure to meet business requirements.
• Ensure all solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, security standards, and MTN’s IT strategy.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business needs into accurate technical specifications.
• Assess functional and non‑functional requirements including performance, scalability, security, and availability.
• Lead integration efforts across applications, APIs, cloud platforms, and legacy systems, ensuring architectural consistency.
• Provide technical leadership during project delivery, guiding development teams and ensuring architecture compliance.
• Participate in design reviews, quality assurance processes, and resolve architectural risks or issues during implementation.
• Define, maintain, and enforce architecture standards, best practices, and compliance with cybersecurity and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate emerging technologies (Cloud, DevOps, AI/ML, Automation) and recommend adoption opportunities for digital transformation.
• Produce and maintain architecture documentation including system diagrams, integration maps, and technical design materials.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidate Requirements

• Grade 12 certificate with 5 credit or better of which English and Mathematics are a must
• BSc Degree in IT/Software Engineering or related field
• Certification in Solution Architect (TOGAF, ARCH)
• 3 to 5+ years’ experience in solution architecture, systems design, or enterprise IT environments.
• Strong experience in application development, cloud computing, infrastructure design, or integration architecture.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
