About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Systems Administrator to support our IT infrastructure and provide technical support to users. This role is ideal for a candidate eager to grow their career in systems and network administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining servers and IT systems
- Provide user support for desktops, laptops, printers, and applications
- Support network infrastructure (LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN) and basic firewall tasks
- Perform system monitoring, backups, updates, and patching
- Create and manage user accounts and access rights
- Document IT assets, incidents, and procedures
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- Basic knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and work under supervision
Added Advantage
- IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Linux)
- Exposure to virtualization or cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
