BRIEF DESCRIPTION
This position is a key role in LEAD Current Operations, focused on training, coaching and mentoring of wildlife rangers, their instructors and team leaders in a professional and efficient manner, under supervision of more experienced trainers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Personnel
a. Assist with guest Instructors: Inform, guide, coach/mentor, enforce safeguarding (S)HEA
2. Development
a. Assisting in developing products, curricula, training materials and more for Ranger, under guidance.
3. Info
a. Timely relevant informing/reporting to instructors and students as required
b. Timely relevant informing/reporting/advice to LEAD and/or partner organization management
c. Attends team meetings, current ops meetings and other scheduled events
d. File required information on training events properly and in time
4. Operations, iccw senior trainers
a. Fact-finding
b. Training – preparation, delivery, assessment, certification
c. Coaching
d. Mentoring
e. Evaluations
f. Incident management (anything occurring outside LC SOPs)
g. Students: Safe learning environment – up-to-date files – disciplinary action
h. Support staff: Liaising & organizing at the training site (chefs, nurses, drivers, …) – balance schedules.
5. Logistics
a. Keeps track (pro-active) of own training materials and indicates the need for new equipment on time where necessary, to ensure delivery of training by the LEAD training team.
6. Safety & Medical
a. Risk Management
b. Can be asked to prepare a CASEVAC Plan for training interventions under guidance
7. Communication & IT
a. Keeps track of own computer and information systems and accounts, and requests new equipment on time where necessary.
b. Keeps track of own communication materials and requests new equipment on time were necessary.
8. Financial
a. Manages financial affairs for own individual expenses and training interventions properly and reports on time.
9. MEL
a. Can assist with proper and timely information gathering and reporting regarding MEL
10. LI/LL
a. Advice and support in the development of the curriculum
b. Advice and support in the development of Instructors
11. Any other tasks as relevant, for example:
a. Liaising with partners or SME's as stipulated and under guidance
b. Representing LEAD in my field at events or to partners as required and under guidance
