Our company is engaged in residential real estate development, villa projects, courtyard space improvement, and landscape enhancement. Due to business growth, we are looking for a responsible, creative, and experienced Landscape Designer to join our team.

The successful candidate will participate in the design and implementation of residential courtyards, show areas, public green spaces, and related landscape projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design residential courtyards, villa gardens, public areas, and small-scale landscape projects.
  • Lead and supervise landscape construction works to ensure project quality and proper execution.
  • Prepare courtyard layouts, space planning, functional zoning, planting concepts, paving designs, and landscape feature details according to project needs.
  • Conduct site visits, take measurements, analyze existing site conditions, and provide practical design recommendations.
  • Prepare landscape design proposals, layout drawings, and visual presentations based on client requirements and project positioning.
  • Assist in selecting landscape materials, plants, outdoor lighting, ornaments, water features, and related supporting facilities.
  • Guide and supervise the construction team through design briefings, on-site instructions, and follow-up during implementation.
  • Coordinate with project managers, procurement staff, site teams, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Provide recommendations to improve the style, appearance, practicality, and long-term maintenance of courtyard landscapes.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Landscape Design, Garden Design, Environmental Art Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in courtyard landscape design, villa garden design, residential greening, or related work is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of courtyard planning, planting design, paving materials, landscape structures, and outdoor space design.
  • Ability to independently complete basic design proposals with good aesthetic sense and spatial planning skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, Photoshop, or other relevant design software is an added advantage.
  • Good communication skills, strong execution ability, and team spirit.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites for inspections and construction follow-up.
  • Knowledge of local plants, climate, and landscaping materials in Zambia will be an added advantage.
  • Responsible, innovative, and able to manage time effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Candidates with the following will have an added advantage:
  • Experience in residential, villa courtyard, show area, or commercial exterior landscape projects
  • Familiarity with commonly used plants and landscaping combinations in Zambia
  • Experience in site construction coordination and supervision
  • Ability to produce renderings, construction support drawings, or planting plans
  • Strong client communication and presentation skills
