Job Description:
1) Project supply management such as contract supply terms review, planning for shipment according to order and payment plan from customer, order and logistics(transportation and clearance) fulfilment work
2) Familiar with Zambia customs policies, regulation, HS code. Build a good relation with government institution. Be able to use professional knowledge to assist Huawei and Customers for import clearance work.
3) Manage Huawei LSP and responsible for Huawei Zambia daily logistics service PO issuance, acceptance and payment to ensure expense security and compliance with qualified supporting documents.
Knowledge:
1) Have the basic knowledge of international trade and transportation (international trade terms, express/air/sea/land transportation and their business processes, insurance and claims, customs clearance for imports and exports, red lines in transportation operations, etc.); understand the basic knowledge of daily operations and management of LSP (daily booking, vehicle scheduling, customs clearance documentation preparation, in-transit tracking, etc.).
2) Be familiar with general basic professional knowledge in logistics, including transportation (trade terms, POD management), warehousing (inventory management, inbound and outbound operations, return management), logistics procurement fulfillment (cost verification), and reverse logistics (return management). Be familiar with related processes and system operations; understand order fulfillment knowledge and related knowledge in finance and project management.
Skills:
1) Master one or more of the following basic logistics engineering analysis methods or tools:
- Logistics planning (PCB, ABC, etc.);
- Lean improvement (seven wastes, standard work, value stream analysis, etc.);
2) Data analysis skills: Be familiar with any data processing technology or tool (e.g., POWER BI, Python, etc.); understand data mining, mathematical statistics, data governance, or other related areas; be familiar with commonly used data analysis software.
Competencies:
1) Business fulfilment capability: Responsible for the efficient fulfillment of logistics/customs clearance/transportation services, able to identify and resolve any abnormalities in business operations in an orderly manner; responsible for the implementation of logistics engineering, and the alignment and auditing of logistics service quality and business fulfillment standards.
2) Communication skills: Possess strong internal and external communication abilities:
- - Communicate effectively with LSP mid-level and frontline staff, as well as decision-makers in delivery operations, to guide LSP in effectively improving projects or addressing service quality issues.
- - Independently complete communication and early warning tasks regarding business supply and demand information with internal upstream and downstream operational teams.
3) Ability to apply knowledge and skills to solve problems: Able to identify potential risks in daily operations and propose feasible preventive measures and solutions; possess the ability to shift from firefighting to risk prevention.
Other Requirements :
Educational Requirement: Full-time bachelor's degree or higher
Work Experience: At least 1 year of work experience in logistics-related fields
