Background information about the job or company:

Develop and deliver specialized curriculum in mental health nursing, provide instruction in both theoretical and practical aspects of psychiatric care, and prepare students for mental health nursing practice.

Responsibilities or duties:

• Develop and deliver specialized curriculum in mental health nursing
• Provide instruction in theoretical and practical aspects of psychiatric care
• Prepare students for mental health nursing practice

Qualifications or requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BScN) is required
• Master’s degree in Mental Health Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, or related field is highly desirable
• Current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) with specialized certification in mental health nursing

Experience needed:

• Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in mental health/psychiatric nursing
• Minimum of 2 years experience in teaching mental health nursing concepts
• Experience in curriculum development specific to mental health education

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: bachelor degree
