Background
Accent Innovations Group Limited seeks to recruit a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement and Tendering Assistant to join its team with immediate effect.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in preparing bid documents, coordinating tender submissions, and managing online submissions through the Zambia Public Procurement Authority (ZPPA) e-GP system and the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM). Zambia’s e-GP platform is the government’s web-based system for the full tender lifecycle, while UNGM is the official procurement portal of the UN system.
Position: Procurement and Tendering Assistant
Location: Lusaka, Zambia
Start Date: Immediate
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and track tender opportunities from relevant platforms and sources
- Prepare, compile, and organize bid and tender documents
- Upload and submit tender documents through the ZPPA e-GP system
- Manage supplier and tender activities on UNGM
- Ensure bid documents are complete, compliant, and submitted within deadlines
- Coordinate with management and technical teams to obtain required bid information
- Maintain proper records of submitted bids, tender outcomes, and supporting documentation
- Monitor tender notices, clarifications, addenda, and submission requirements
- Assist in preparing expressions of interest, proposals, quotations, and related procurement documents
- Support general procurement and administrative processes linked to bidding activities
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Procurement and Supply, Business Administration, Purchasing and Supply, or a related field
- Proven experience in bid preparation and tender submission
- Practical knowledge of the ZPPA e-GP system and UNGM
- Good understanding of procurement processes, tender documentation, and compliance requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines with minimal supervision
Added Advantage
- Experience in public procurement, donor-funded projects, or international tendering
- Familiarity with preparing bids for government, corporate, and development-partner opportunities
- Knowledge of tender compliance reviews and document verification
