Background
Neera solutions ltd is a growing borehole drilling and water supply infrastructure company based in Lusaka, Zambia. We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to oversee borehole drilling, water supply, and related field operations.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating projects from planning to completion, monitoring site activities, managing teams, resolving project-related issues, and ensuring that works are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related field
Proven experience in borehole drilling, water supply, construction, or infrastructure project management
Strong knowledge of site coordination, reporting, and project planning
Ability to manage multiple projects and teams effectively
Good communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
Valid driver’s license is an added advantage
Knowledge of borehole drilling, solar pumping systems, tank installation, and water reticulation will be an added advantage
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor borehole drilling and water supply projects from start to finish
- Supervise site teams, subcontractors, and field operations
- Track project progress, timelines, budgets, and deliverables
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project reports
- Liaise with clients, consultants, councils, NGOs, and suppliers
- Ensure availability of materials, equipment, fuel, and site logistics
- Identify project risks, delays, and technical or operational issues and resolve them promptly
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Coordinate project documentation, site records, measurements, and completion reports
- Support tender follow-up, project mobilization, and contract implementation
- Report directly to management on all ongoing projects and operational matters
