We are currently seeking a Restaurant Manager to join our vibrant team. At Radisson Blu Resort, Livingstone, we are in search of individuals who go beyond the resume – those with character, skills, talents, and a passion for creating memorable experiences. As a Restaurant Manager, you will report to the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager. You lead with creativity, impeccable leadership, and an unwavering commitment to exceptional service. Your role is the core of our culinary haven, where your innovation and dedication shine, taking our dining experiences to new heights.
Responsibilities:
- Managing and supervising restaurant operations to maintain high service standards
- Supports the smooth running of the food & beverage department, where all aspects of the guest food & beverage service experience are delivered to the highest levels.
- Leading, coaching, and developing restaurant team members to enhance performance and guest experience.
- Works proactively to improve guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to guest enquiries.
- Delivers on plans and objectives where food & beverage initiatives & hotel targets are achieved.
- Manages the food & beverage team, fostering a culture of growth, development and performance within the department.
- Responsible for the departmental budget, ensuring that costs and inventory are controlled, and that productivity and performance levels are attained.
- Builds and maintains effective working relationships with all key stakeholders.
- Delivers effective programmes that advance service standards, profitability and cost control.
- Ensures adherence and compliance to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 School Certificate
- Diploma/degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or related field (preferred)
- 1–3 years’ experience in Food & Beverage service in a hotel setting
- Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA)-verified copies of qualifications
- Attach the Certificate of Verification and Evaluation of Qualification
- Excellent managerial skills and guest service, communication skills, and ability to multitask
- Proficient in reservation systems (Opera/Micros) and Microsoft Office
- Proven experience in food & beverage service with excellent problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to find creative solutions, offering advice and recommendations.
- Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time and energy.
- Experienced in using IT systems on various platforms.
- Strong communication skills.
