Department: Commercial Division
Reports To: Sales and Ops Supervisor
Reference Number: BA/CM/004/26

Are you someone who:

  • Can balance sharp commercial targets with strategic customer call routes to maximize territory footprint?
  • Has the grit to handle everything from complex breakage claims to helping clear overdue store debt?
  • Is a high-energy extrovert who thrives on freedom but delivers weekly, data-backed results?

If you answered yes, you are exactly who we want.

Performance Indicators & Cultural Fit

Performance Metrics

  • Target Mastery & Volume Protection: Meeting annual and quarterly product quotas while avoiding the traps of under-stocking (loss of shelf space) or over-stocking (strained buyer relationships).
  • The 100x100x100 Standard: Securing 100% of agreed stock lines, in 100% of designated stores, 100% of the time.
  • Rigorous Reporting Lifecycle: Generating and tracking accurate Weekly Sales Analyses, Fortnightly Sales Trackers, and Monthly Decision-Making Reports for the Sales and Ops Supervisor.

Cultural Alignment

  • Connected & Dynamic: Acting as a steady, reliable bridge between internal Credit Control, Warehouse Logistics, and external retail giants.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: Operating through a strict loop of feedback and corrective action to optimize routes, resolve store problems, and protect gross margins.

What You Will Actually Do

Drive Sales & Smart Territory Routing

You will check warehouse stock, map efficient customer call routes based on store budgets, and secure strategic orders. You are fully accountable for introducing new products and maintaining shelf dominance.

Oversee In-Store Merchandising

You will manage, guide, and assess on-site merchandisers. You ensure that shelf presentations are immaculate, pricing modules are accurate, and corrective actions are raised instantly to the Merchandising Supervisor.

Quality Control & Credit Support

You will visit outlets to inspect quarantined stock for poor handling or water damage, negotiating fair claims with buyers. You will also collaborate directly with Credit Control to track down and physically chase overdue debtors before generating new orders.

Market Intelligence & Mediation

You will conduct face-to-face interviews with buyers and end-users to capture market trends. You will step in to identify root causes of customer complaints, applying collaborative conflict resolution to fix grievances rapidly.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
