Job Description

Job Title: Product Sales and Marketing Officer (Biofertilizer Products)
Grade: X3
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Job Purpose
To lead product awareness, sales, and market expansion for Xenia’s biofertilizer products by engaging households, backyard growers, small- to medium-scale farmers, agro-dealers, and agricultural service providers providers in Lusaka and the surrounding regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field visits to market and sell biofertilizer products to targeted customer groups.
- Identify and engage potential clients,, including households, backyard growers, and small- to medium-scale farmers, as well as agro-product outlets.
- Demonstrate the benefits of Xenia’s organic solutions and provide basic technical guidance on their use.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with agro-dealers, distributors, and farmer groups.
- Implement sales strategies to meet targets and grow the customer base.
- Gather market intelligence on customer needs, competitor inputs, and emerging opportunities.
- Support promotional activities, product demonstrations, farmers’ meetings, and community outreach events.
- Maintain accurate sales records and prepare timely reports.
- Undertake additional assignments as delegated by the Chief Executive Officer.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or degree in Agriculture, Marketing, Agribusiness, or a related field.
- Experience in field sales, agricultural inputs, or community-based marketing is an added advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and consistently meet sales targets.
- Willingness to travel within Lusaka and to other provinces as required.
