About the Role
Spruceland Technologies Group Limited is seeking two (2) skilled and motivated Scale Service Technicians to join our team in Lusaka. Reporting to the Head of Technical, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service and technical support to our clients. Your primary focus will be on the installation, repair, maintenance, and testing of weighing and measuring equipment, ensuring all work is carried out in strict accordance with company procedures and safety policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose technical errors and system malfunctions, determining and implementing effective solutions on-site.
- Conduct field visits and dispatches to perform installations, routine maintenance, and emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients by understanding their requirements and providing appropriate technical briefings and recommendations.
- Manage your workflow to adhere to scheduled tasks, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
- Produce timely and detailed service reports and document all processes and repairs accurately.
- Operate company vehicles and field automation systems safely, adhering to all company protocols and procedures.
- Cooperate with the wider technical team to share information and insights that improve service delivery.
- Identify opportunities to market and explain additional products and services to existing clients.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management to support the team's success.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
Diploma or higher in Information Technology, Electronics, or Telecommunications.
Licensing:
Valid Driver’s License is mandatory.
Experience:
Previous experience servicing weighbridges and scales is a distinct advantage. Experience in IT systems installation and maintenance will be highly regarded.
Technical Skills:
Strong technical and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Solid understanding of computer hardware, software, networking, and data management.
Personal Attributes
- Ability to work independently and respond promptly to technical issues with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing accurate documentation.
