JOB DETAILS:
Yalelo is seeking an Automotive Electrical Mechanic who will be responsible for installation, repair, wiring and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems/ components in accessories in cars and other motor vehicles and be part of our Mechanical Maintannce team at our Production site in Siavonga.

The role is based in Siavonga.
The main responsibilities of the position include:
• Conducting fault diagnosis for malfunctioning motor vehicles/ equipment
• Repairing damaged or faulty electrical parts
• Installing new systems and equipment
• Carrying out routine maintenance works
• Understands the complicated working parts of a vehicle’s electrical system, including the ignition, engine, chassis, battery, fuel injection and engine management systems, anti-lock braking, battery, wiring and charging systems, heating and air conditioning systems, lighting, and indicators
• Maintaining a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair
• Conducting extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of vehicle problems and provide accurate repair recommendations
• Inspecting vehicles according to the regulatory requirements for emissions and safety
• Conducting necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives to verify soundness
• Maintaining legible and accurate paperwork for company records

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
• Automotive Mechanics Craft certificate or better.
• Valid Zambian (RTSA) issued Driver’s License held for 2 or more years.
• 2 Years of Automotive experience in the trade which may include an apprenticeship and/or applicable vocational training or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience in Automotive Equipment, Maintenance and Repair.
• Experience working in an FMCG Industry is an added advantage
