Responsibilities or duties:

  • - Journey management, planning – i.e. Fuel allocation & control, mileage and any other cost to ensure uninterrupted movement of trucks
  • - Daily control of all PODs to ensure timeous collection and uploading for invoicing.
  • - Responsible for requesting & capturing all additional costs for drivers in liaison with the operations manager or fellow dispatcher.
  • - Responsible to ensure that all costs incurred by trucks in route responsible are captured in liaison with finance department & operations manager & fellow dispatcher.
  • - Ensure that all cost outside trip sheets have vouchers properly authorized and captured in time in liaison with finance.
  • - Perform any other duties as delegated by the supervisor

Qualifications or requirements:

  • - Good oral and written communication skills
  • - Problem solver, attention to detail, skilled at admin, process orientated

Experience needed:

- Previous 3-5 years’ experience from reputable transporter as a dispatcher with more than 150 trucks running Congo, Tanzania, Beira and South Africa.

Any other provided details:

  • - A member of Zambia Institute of Transport & Logistics
  • - Ability to communicate well, Team player, customer centric and should have a clean criminal record.
  • - Ability to adhere to instructions, planning and cost management
  • - Sober mind, self-starter physically fit and honest.
