Job Title: Manager: Finance and Performance Management
Under the supervision of the General Manager Enterprise Business Unit, below are the Key Job Responsibilities;
- Lead the development and management of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans for the EBU.
- Conduct scenario analyses and sensitivity testing to inform strategic decisions;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial plans with business objectives;
- Develop and maintain performance dashboards and KPIs to monitor EBU financial and operational performance.
- Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports with actionable insights;
- Identify variances from financial plans and recommend corrective actions;
- Act as a financial advisor to EBU leadership, providing insights on profitability, cost management, and investment decisions;
- Evaluate business cases for new products, services, and partnerships, ensuring financial viability and alignment with strategic goals;
- Support pricing strategies and contract negotiations with financial analyses;
- Ensure adherence to MTN Group’s financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements;
- Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity;
- Act as Risk and Control Champion for the Enterprise Business Unit;
- Finance and Audit Liaison for EBU with Mainstream Finance;
- Ensures Accuracy of Billing across all Enterprise Business Services;
- Lead and mentor the team;
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities;
- Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across departments;
- Ensure Billing Accuracy and Assurance across Enterprise Business;
- Any other responsibilities or tasks as maybe assigned by management.
Candidate Requirements
- Grade 12 Certificate with 5 credits or better of which English and Mathematics are a must;
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;
Professional certification (e.g., CA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable;
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the telecommunications or technology sector;
- Demonstrated experience in performance management, budgeting, and financial reporting;
- Proven track record of business partnering and providing strategic financial insights.
