Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit a high-caliber experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Maintenance team. We are in search of individuals who can champion Barrick’s DNA by:

Reporting to the Superintendent LME, you will be responsible for the maintenance, reliability, and performance optimization of Light Mobile Equipment (LME).
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide technical support for maintenance and repair activities on Light Mobile Equipment.
- Monitor fleet performance and recommend improvement initiatives.
- Investigate equipment failures and recurring defects and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with OEM standards and company procedures.
- Carry out quality control inspection on equipment before releasing them back to operations
- Analyse maintenance data and prepare technical and performance reports.
- Participate in troubleshooting, breakdown analysis, and root cause failure investigations.
- Monitor contractor and service provider performance to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Provide coaching and technical guidance to technicians and artisans where required
- Promote adherence to health, safety, environmental, and company policies.

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
- A Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in maintenance of mobile equipment. Mining sector added advantage
- Experience working with light vehicles, buses, pickups, service trucks, forklifts, and support equipment.
- Familiarity with SAP or other CMMS for work order tracking.
- Familiarity with fleet maintenance management systems and reliability practices.
- Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia.
- Minimum of an unrestricted Class B driver’s license
