Job Summary:
Under the supervision of School Management, the School Nurse provides daily health care and medical support to learners at the Special Needs Campus. The nurse monitors student wellbeing, administers first aid and prescribed medication, supports hygiene and feeding needs where required, and responds promptly to medical concerns or emergencies. They maintain accurate health records, communicate regularly with parents, therapists, and staff, and promote a safe, clean, and healthy school environment. The role focuses on protecting each child’s health, supporting participation in learning, and ensuring readiness for continued development and care across the school setting.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 25 years old and above
- Must be a Christian with at least 3 years’ testimony of Christian faith
- Grade certificate with a credit or better in English
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Diploma in Nursing
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia, having a valid practising license.
- At least three years of nursing work experience, paediatric nursing is a bonus.
- Demonstrate success in working as a member of a team.
- Demonstrate an ability to work successfully with community-based agencies and build partnerships.
