Our client, an energy and infrastructure development company operating in Zambia is seeking is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design, maintenance, and engineering optimization at our power generation plants. The role demands strong technical expertise and the ability to oversee equipment reliability and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical systems.
• Develop preventive maintenance strategies for plant equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical failures and recommend design or operational improvements.
• Coordinate with project and operations teams to ensure plant performance.
• Manage engineering documentation and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8–10 years’ experience in mechanical systems, ideally in power generation.
• Proficiency in CAD and mechanical design systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is essential.
