Tender for Construction/Renovation Works of Maternity Annexes, Incinerators, Placenta and Ash Pits in Four (4) Healthcare Facilities in Monze and Three (3) Health Care Facilities in Kazungula Districts, Southern Province of Zambia
Salvation Army in conjunction with Water Aid Zambia is implementing a project to improve access to Water and Sanitation services, and improved hygiene in Health Centres (HCS) or Health Care Facilities (HCFs). The project focus is around WASH infrastructure improvement at HCFs with special attention towards delivery and pediatric units but also Health Care waste management, hygiene behaviour change, and capacity building and systems strengthening to sustain WASH interventions The Tender will be conducted through the Open National Bidding (ONB) procedure.
Salvation Army is now inviting sealed bids from eligible and qualified Bidders, registered with the National Council for Construction (NCC) in category B, with Grade 5 or category C, Grades 5, Company's registration. Valid Tax Clearance Certificate, Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) valid practising license and Vat Registration Certificate to undertake various construction works at fourteen (7) Health Care facilities in Monze and Kazungula Districts in Southern Provinces of Zambia

Bidders are expected to visit and examine the sites of works and its surroundings. The proposed site visits will be 15 November, 2021 in Monze District, 16 November, 2021 in Kazungula District. The site visits are MANDATORY (site visit certificate will be issued) and related costs shall be at the bidder's own expense.
A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased from The Salvation Army Offices located at Napsa Building in Monze., Zambia upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Five Hundred Kwacha (K 500.00) for the bid document deposited to this Bank Detail

Bidders must obtain an official receipt for their deposit from Salvation Army Offices. The official receipt should be part of the bid document submitted.
The bidders may obtain further information from The Salvation Army and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from 08:00 hours to 13:00 hours and from 14:00 hours to 17:00 hours, Monday to Friday. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be obtained from the The Salvation Army Offices located at Napsa Building in Monze.
A margin of preference shall apply following the Preferential Procurement Clause for bidders registered with the Citizen Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC) in line with ZPPA circular No. 2 of 2011 as follows:
(a) For a citizen influenced company, by four percent (4%)
(b) For a citizen-empowered company, by eight percent (89)
(c) For a citizen-owned company, by twelve percent (129)
Submission Procedure
Bids must be delivered to and placed in the tender box at The Salvation Army Offices located at Napsa Building in Monze, Zambia on or before 10:00 hour's local time on Monday, 29th November, 2021. Bids must be appropriately bound, sealed and labelled. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. LATE BIDS WILL BE REJECTED.
Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders' representatives, who choose to attend in person at the address below immediately after 10:00 hour's local time on Monday, 29 November, 2021. All bids must be accompanied by a 2% Bid Security of the bid amount.
