The Opportunity

As our Marketing & Brand Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing initiatives that strengthen our brand, drive consumer demand, and support commercial growth across all channels.

You will work closely with the founders, sales team, external agencies, and retail partners to ensure our brand stands out both on the shelf and online.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Management

  • Develop and implement the overall brand strategy and annual marketing plan.
  • Ensure consistent brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity across all touchpoints.
  • Act as the brand guardian, maintaining high standards of execution internally and externally.
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities to strengthen brand relevance and differentiation.

Retail & Shopper Marketing

  • Develop marketing initiatives that support sell-through in supermarkets and specialty retail channels.
  • Create promotional calendars aligned with key seasonal moments and retailer priorities.
  • Collaborate with the sales team on retailer presentations, promotional programs, and new product launches.
  • Conduct regular store visits to assess execution, shelf presence, and competitor activity.

Product & Innovation Support

  • Lead the marketing aspects of new product launches, seasonal offerings, and packaging updates.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure timely and successful launch execution.
  • Gather consumer insights to inform innovation opportunities.

Digital & Consumer Marketing

  • Develop and oversee content and communication plans across digital channels.
  • Manage social media strategy and execution in partnership with internal teams or agencies.
  • Support the growth of direct-to-consumer sales through email marketing, campaigns, and digital initiatives.
  • Evaluate influencer and partnership opportunities that align with the brand.

Corporate & Hospitality Marketing Support

  • Develop marketing materials and campaigns tailored to corporate gifting and hospitality customers.
  • Support business development efforts with compelling sales and presentation assets.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance brand visibility within these channels.

Agency & Budget Management

  • Manage relationships with creative, digital, PR, and other external partners.
  • Develop clear briefs and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Monitor and manage the marketing budget effectively.

Insights & Performance Tracking

  • Establish and monitor key marketing performance indicators.
  • Analyse campaign effectiveness and recommend improvements based on data and insights.
  • Track competitor activity and emerging consumer trends within the confectionery and broader FMCG landscape.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 12 months, you will have:

  • Developed and implemented a clear annual marketing plan.
  • Strengthened the consistency and visibility of our brand across all channels.
  • Successfully executed key seasonal and promotional campaigns.
  • Improved support for our supermarket and specialty retail partners.
  • Enhanced the effectiveness of our direct-to-consumer marketing efforts.
  • Introduced a disciplined approach to measuring marketing performance and return on investment.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • 5–10 years of experience in marketing and/or brand management.
  • Experience within FMCG, preferably in food and beverage, confectionery, premium food, or related categories.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Experience working with retail channels and shopper marketing initiatives.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a growing or entrepreneurial business environment.
  • Exposure to both consumer and B2B marketing.
  • Experience launching new products or managing packaging development projects.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing platforms and marketing analytics tools.
