JOB DETAILS:
Role Overview:
As a Pharmacist at Young Phiroz Pharmacy, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and responsible use of medication for our customers. You will provide expert pharmaceutical advice, dispense medicines, and support patients with their health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescription medications accurately in accordance with legal and ethical standards
- Counsel patients on the proper use, potential side effects, and storage of medications
- Monitor patient health and progress to ensure medication effectiveness and safety
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient information
- Manage pharmacy stock including ordering and storage of pharmaceutical products
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including licensing and inspections
- Educate customers on over-the-counter medication and health-related products
Minimum Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Pharmacy
- Valid practicing license with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ)
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in retail or hospital pharmacy settings
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and handle busy periods
- Commitment to ethical pharmaceutical practice
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 12
Level of Education: associate degree
