JOB DETAILS:

The job holder will Design, plan, monitor and coordinate repairs and maintenance of Zambia Airports Corporation Limited’s Civil Infrastructure obtaining at Mfuwe International Airport to ensure smooth facilitation of Airports and Air Navigation Operations, in line with the relevant legislation, policies, strategies, processes, procedures and required standards, and in alignment with the division strategy

• Key Performance Areas
  • Project Identification.
  • Prepare Project Proposals.
  • Collect and measure accurate engineering data to prepare bills of quantities.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate selected contractors’ works to ensure adherence to specifications and local operating procedures and conditions and certification of completed works.
  • Co-ordinate contracted works with stakeholders to ensure smooth running of the projects.
  • Estimate cost of carrying out particular works for management’s action.
  • Design and estimate cost of small buildings and structures as required by management.
  • Prepare tender documentation for external execution and evaluate the tenders to ensure best compliant contractors are selected.
  • Supervise and guide subordinates on tasks to ensure adherence to specifications and good workmanship.
  • Inspect, maintain, rehabilitate and manage pavement and building infrastructure to ensure soundness and safety of all users and recommend appropriate remedial action.
  • Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of airport unpaved areas.
  • Any other related duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
  Qualifications
  • Grade 12 ‘O’ Level Certificate with minimum of five (5) credits which must include Mathematics, English Language and Science.
  • Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering
  • Computer Literate in Engineering Software
  • Class
  • Drivers Licence
  • Minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience preferably in the construction Industry or a related field.
  Experience Professional Membership
  • Graduate Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia.
