Background
Under the overall guidance of the Director of Youth Development and direct supervision of the National Coordinator – Youth Programme or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the Coordination Assistant will:
Responsibilities
• Support stakeholder engagement and coordination of partnerships.
• Assist in the coordination and implementation of programme activities, including tracking workplans and following up on key actions.
• Support the coordination and implementation of youth-related events.
• Facilitate effective coordination and communication among Line Ministries, UN agencies, civil society organisations (CSOs), volunteer involving organisations (VIOs), private sector, and other partners.
• Organize meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and tracking action points.
• Support data collection, monitoring, and reporting, while maintaining accurate records.
• Provide logistical and administrative support for trainings, events, and fellowship placements.
• Assist with the onboarding process and ongoing follow-up of fellows.
• Contribute to the development of communication materials and visibility initiatives.
• Promote gender equality, inclusion, and meaningful youth participation across programme activities.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Skills and experience
- Demonstrated experience in coordination and supporting the implementation of youth programmes or other relevant initiatives.
- Experience working with the United Nations or other international development organizations is considered an asset.
- Possession of any other required or desirable technical knowledge relevant to the role.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong drafting, formulation, and reporting abilities.
- High level of accuracy and professionalism in document preparation, production, and editing.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with cultural and social sensitivity; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including grassroots communities, religious and youth organizations, and authorities at various levels; familiarity with communication for development (C4D) tools and approaches.
- Ability to adapt and perform effectively in challenging environments; demonstrated capacity to work efficiently in multicultural teams comprising both international and national staff.
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.), email, and internet use; familiarity with database management systems and office technology.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
