The Key purpose of the job
The Key purpose of the job is to ensure stock is secured on Trucks prior to departure from the plant to offload delivered stocks at the premises of the customer and properly load and secure empties from the customer premises enroute to the plant.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Assisted in loading and unloading, ensuring proper handling and secure load.
- Collaborate with drivers to plan efficient routes and delivery schedules.
- Maintained accurate records of deliveries and inventory.
- Provide excellent customer service during drop-offs, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle to meet company standards.
- Report any vehicle issues to management for timely resolution.
Key Attributes and Competencies:
- SHE Standards strictly complied.
- Ensure that the truck is chocked when parked
- Ensure that you are in full prescribed PPE
- Use step of pallet step all the time during offloading of the first pallet
- Help to do 360 degrees scan before the driver start the truck
- Help the driver to do PTIs
- Help driver as a spotter while truck reversing
Minimum Requirements:
- 2-3 years’ experience in a Manual Good handling
- Stock control experience specific to the FMCG industry
- Experience in goods deliveries
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Computer literate
- Reliability, Time Management, Effective Communication, Loading And Unloading skill
