Job Summary: An enumerator (for academic research) will collect data from respondents in the field, through surveys, interviews, or observations and group discussions. He/she will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and reliable data collection for the projects, including surveys, censuses, or research study. In some cases, enumerators may also be responsible for data cleaning, validation, and help in data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Enumerators will collect data through surveys, interviews, or observations, using digital tools or paper forms.
- Respondent Identification:
They will identify and locate respondents based on specified criteria.
They will document collected data accurately and completely, using range of data collection tools.
Enumerators will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness, through cross-checking.
- Communication and Fieldwork:
They will need to obtain permission to collect data from local authorities, respondent organizations and compile reports.
Enumerators will collect data using different means and or Strategies.
Qualification & Experience Required:
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with respondents `in the field` and supervisor.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in data collection and entry.
- Data Collection Experience: Prior experience in data collection using various methods is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using digital data collection tools or software.
- Fieldwork Experience: Experience working in the field, especially in Lusaka Industries, may be advantageous.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, e.g statistic, social sciences, mathematics may be required.
