Job Purpose/Mission

To provide safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services for staff, visitors, and organizational assets while ensuring proper maintenance and care of assigned vehicles. The role requires extensive knowledge of Zambia's provinces, districts, and road networks, as well as basic mechanical skills to identify and address minor vehicle issues.

Key Responsibilities

Transportation Services

• Drive staff, management, and visitors to various destinations as assigned.
• Ensure safe and timely transportation in accordance with traffic regulations and organizational policies.
• Plan travel routes efficiently and provide logistical support during field trips and official assignments.
• Travel to all provinces and districts as required for organizational operations.

Vehicle Maintenance and Management

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are roadworthy.
• Monitor fuel consumption, mileage, service schedules, road tax, insurance, and fitness certificates.
• Report vehicle defects promptly and coordinate repairs and servicing.
• Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs where applicable.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure all required tools and safety equipment are available.

Administrative Support

• Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks and trip records.
• Assist with delivery and collection of documents, materials, and equipment.
• Support administrative and operational activities as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with organizational transport policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Valid Zambian Driver's Licence (Class B or higher).
• Minimum of 3 years' driving experience in a fast paced corporate or similar environment.
• Proven knowledge of Zambia's provinces, districts, and major road networks.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to diagnose common vehicle faults.
• Experience driving both manual and automatic vehicles.

Working Conditions

• Frequent travel within and outside Lusaka.
• Occasional work outside normal working hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required by operational needs.

Note: For the Quality Analyst role, candidates fluent in Lunda, Luvale, or Kaonde languages are highly preferred.
