JOB DETAILS:
Summary: Operates heavy-duty dump trucks (e.g., ADTs, Rigid Frame) to transport ore, overburden, and other materials across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate dump trucks to move material according to the mine plan and dispatcher's instructions.
- Perform pre-operational inspections and report any mechanical issues.
- Ensure loads are within safe weight limits and properly secured.
- Adhere to all site traffic rules, speed limits, and dumping procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe cab environment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, loaders, and other operators.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating large haul trucks in an open-pit mine or large construction site.
- Valid driver's license; a commercial driver's license (CDL) may be required.
- Excellent awareness of vehicle blind spots and surroundings.
- Commitment to safety protocols.
