ELECTRICIAN – (NOVATEK LUSAKA) (02)
The Required Skills for this Role Include:
- In conjunction with the superior, procures work orders and / or plant / machinery breakdown reports for repair and installation of instruments and electrical plant machinery in the factory and offices, critically analyses extent, nature and degree of work and material required.
- Being involved in all repairs, maintenance and installation work of plant/machinery and standard equipment as well as physical checks to ensure strict adherence to engineering specifications and safety.
- Carrying out daily inspections of the plant in order to ascertain if all machines and equipment are functioning as per normal. Should he discover any abnormalities, he is to immediately bring this to his superior attention. As this could ultimately effect production targets.
- Adhering to planned maintenance schedules for all electrical plants and equipment for approval by superior, the execution of the same in order to prevent excessive wear and tear and unnecessary breakdowns.
- Repairing electronic devices / equipment following information from blueprints and manufacturer's specifications using hand tools and text instruments.
- Analysing and interpreting test data, adjusts, calibrates, align and modifies circuiting, components and records effects on unit’s performance, in accordance with electronic norms.
- Motivating and developing a good working relationship with his colleagues in line with good company manpower policies.
The Required Qualifications are:
- Grade 12 certificate
- Craft Certificate in Electrical Engineering
- 3 years relevant experience, knowledge and experience in PLC systems is an added advantage.

- Uses various electrical engineering instruments and hand tools
- Numerical and Computational Skills
- Good writing skills
- Communication
- Creativity and Problem-Solving
- Attention to Detail
- Interpersonal Skills
