- Supporting the design and implementation of development strategies for actors in emerging countries;
- End-to-end project cycle management support;
- Training for stakeholders on various topics (media, MEAL, protection, DRR, etc.).
As part of our international development activities, we are seeking a Senior Expert in Nature-Based Tourism and Conservation to provide high-level technical and strategic support to a multi-country initiative across Southern and Eastern Africa.
Required Experience
- Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience in project evaluation, international development, conservation or a closely related field.
• Minimum 10 years of international experiencein evaluating donor-funded programs or projects.
• Strong knowledge of evaluation methodologies, including participatory and mixed methods.
• Experience with GEF-funded projects and evaluation requirements.
• Technical expertise in nature-based tourism, conservation, local/community enterprises, and resilience.
• Experience working in multicultural contexts, with knowledge of or field experience in Southern and Eastern Africa.
• Fluency in English (working language for the assignment).
• Familiarity with social and environmental safeguards and gender-responsive evaluation is an asset.
