JOB DETAILS:

The Field Service Technician handles on-site maintenance, diagnostics and repairs of the customer’s machinery to ensure optimum, efficient and reliable operation.

Reports to: Service Manager- Construction Equipment

Branch: Kalumbila

Contract Duration: One (1) Year, Renewable.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

The Field Service Technician will be required to perform the following tasks:

1.    Compliance with safety standards

• Always comply with safety policies and regulations.
• Ensure the correct PPE is worn as per safety policy.
• Perform daily assessments to ensure good housekeeping.

2.    Technical Support

• Meet Monthly KPI’s
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on customer’s machinery.
• Attend to breakdowns in a timely manner to minimize machine downtime.
• Attending scheduled component change outs services.
• Attain the monthly Service targets (Initiatives).
• Provide Reliable Service and Support and exceptionally high standard of technical support to the customer.
• Determine the cause of problems and submit Field Information Report to factory to assist customer and provide accurate feedback.
• Provide technical support to customer (verbal and physical) to ensure products operate continuously.

3.    Customer Relations

• Maintain and enhance Customer relations.
• Ensure queries concerning machine maintenance are quickly and efficiently resolved.

• Managerial Instructions
• Perform additional duties or responsibilities assigned by the service Manager.

Qualifications:

• Full Grade 12 certificate - Required.

• Advanced Certificate in Heavy Equipment Repair
• Diploma in HER/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is an added advantage.
• Three (3) plus years’ experience in the field.
• Full member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia
• Valid and unendorsed driver’s License.

• All Qualifications must be validated by Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).
