Atlas Primary School invites passionate, innovative and child-centred educators to join its Founding Team.
Responsibilities or duties
- Plan and deliver lessons that focus heavily on early reading readiness, phonics, and basic number concepts, as this is the entry year into formal schooling.
- Create a warm, nurturing classroom environment that helps young learners transition from preschool to structured primary school.
- Emphasise the development of fine motor skills (e.g., handwriting, cutting, colouring) and early social skills.
- Use a high level of hands-on, play-based and sensory activities to introduce foundational literacy and numeracy.
- Work closely with parents to support children who are new to the school routine.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Minimum Diploma in Education or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Education is an added advantage.
- Specialisation in Early Childhood Development or Junior Education is an added advantage.
- Excellent classroom management, communication and ICT skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism and teamwork.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Experience needed
- Two (2) years' teaching or classroom support experience.
- Any other provided details (e.g., benefits, work environment, team info, or additional notes)
- Successful candidates will receive training in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme as part of Atlas Primary School's professional development programme.
