JOB DETAILS:

Background

South Great Logistics Limited is seeking to fill the position of Import and Export Coordinator.

Purpose

Manage cross-border customs clearance, documentation, and carrier handovers for imports/exports.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify shipping documents (Bill of Lading, CMR, T1, Ex-Form, COO).
• Liaise with customs agents, port authorities, and freight forwarders.
• Track vessel/air arrival and coordinate truck pick-up at Mombasa/Dar es Salaam.
• Ensure compliance with EAC customs regulations and TRA/KRA requirements.
• Resolve demurrage, detention, or exam holds.

Qualifications

• Degree in International Trade / Logistics.
• 3+ years in import/export coordination.
• Knowledge of TANCIS, KRA SIMBA, or ASYCUDA World.

Competencies

Regulatory accuracy, negotiation, cross-border process mastery.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: bachelor degree
