We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Loan Officer to assess and process loan applications, evaluate client financial information, and recommend or approve loans. The ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal skills, be results-driven, and be ready to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and process loan applications in a timely manner.
  • Interview applicants to determine eligibility and assess creditworthiness.
  • Conduct risk analysis and perform background checks.
  • Recommend or approve loans within delegated authority limits.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all loan transactions.
  • Follow up on repayments and manage loan recovery where necessary.
  • Meet individual sales and collection targets.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Diploma in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in loan processing, credit analysis, or financial services (experience in microfinance is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of lending procedures, credit assessment, and financial products.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Must reside in Lusaka, preferably in Kaunda Square, Meanwood Mutumbi, Foxdale, or surrounding areas.

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
