We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Loan Officer to assess and process loan applications, evaluate client financial information, and recommend or approve loans. The ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal skills, be results-driven, and be ready to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and process loan applications in a timely manner.
- Interview applicants to determine eligibility and assess creditworthiness.
- Conduct risk analysis and perform background checks.
- Recommend or approve loans within delegated authority limits.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all loan transactions.
- Follow up on repayments and manage loan recovery where necessary.
- Meet individual sales and collection targets.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain client relationships.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Diploma in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in loan processing, credit analysis, or financial services (experience in microfinance is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of lending procedures, credit assessment, and financial products.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Must reside in Lusaka, preferably in Kaunda Square, Meanwood Mutumbi, Foxdale, or surrounding areas.

- Self-motivated and target-driven.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
