JOB DETAILS:

We are looking for an experienced Millwright to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and precision alignment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance of equipment

Key duties and responsibilities include:

• Install, assemble, and dismantle machinery and equipment according to blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic issues in industrial machinery.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment longevity and minimize unplanned downtime
  • Align and calibrate machinery components using precision tools
  • Weld, fabricate, and modify parts as needed for repairs or improvements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical failures in conveyors, gearboxes, pumps and other systems
  • Collaborate with engineers and operators to optimize machinery performance.
  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to Health and Safety and company regulations
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Full Grade 12 certificate
  • Vocational training in industrial maintenance
  • At least 3 years proven experience as millwright in an industrial/ manufacturing setting
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of bearings, gears, couplings, and power transmission systems
  • Proficiency in welding and metal fabrication
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
