KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct quality tests on finished feed (e.g., pellet durability, nutrient content, floatability).
- Analyse feed samples for contaminants and compliance with aquaculture standards.
- Work with the fish farm to collect feedback on feed performance (FCR, growth rates).
- Participate in trials to reduce fishmeal content by incorporating alternative proteins (e.g., algal feeds, plant-based proteins).
- Assist in documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for quality control.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Record production data accurately for traceability and performance tracking.
- Communicate effectively with production, quality control, and fish farm teams.
- Attend weekly team meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
- Complete all assigned training and deliverables on time.
QUALIFICATION AND ATTRIBUTES:
- Full Grade Twelve School Certificate (GCE)
- Minimum of a Diploma in Agriculture, Aquaculture, Animal Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of production processes and quality control.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, industrial environment
- Interest in aqua feed production and tilapia farming.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
