Position Overview

Our client, in the microfinance sector, is seeking a dynamic and technically inclined Sales Manager to join their team. This individual will combine strong commercial acumen with advanced digital strategy expertise to drive growth, motivate high‑performing teams, and expand their market presence. The ideal candidate is energetic, inspirational, and thrives in leveraging technology to optimise sales performance and customer engagement.

The ideal candidate must have experience with SME Loans; Civil Servant Loans and Agricultural Loans.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute national sales strategies tailored to civil servant loan products.
  • Translate corporate objectives into actionable regional and branch targets.
  • Drive portfolio growth through innovative distribution channels and employer partnerships.

Digital & Technical Excellence

  • Design and implement digital sales strategies, including CRM optimization, data analytics, and online customer acquisition.
  • Have a strong understanding of the various lending products.
  • Champion adoption of digital tools across the sales force to enhance productivity and reporting accuracy.
  • Monitor emerging fintech trends and integrate relevant innovations into the sales process.

Team Motivation & Performance

  • Inspire, coach, and energize sales teams to consistently exceed targets.
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement performance management frameworks, incentive structures, and recognition programs.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Strengthen relationships with government institutions, employers, and strategic partners.
  • Represent the company at industry forums, policy discussions, and client engagements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards while maintaining customer trust.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, ideally in financial services or lending.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing large, distributed teams.
  • Strong technical proficiency in digital sales platforms, CRM systems, and data analytics.
  • Excellent communication, motivational, and leadership skills.
