Introduction
We are seeking to recruit a motivated and dedicated individual for the position of Site Engineer Intern. This role is critical to the successful execution and on-site supervision of infrastructure and rehabilitation projects. The intern will support the engineering team in ensuring that work is completed according to specifications, quality standards, timelines, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the supervision of construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety protocols.
Support site inspections, quality control procedures, and contractor oversight.
Participate in site meetings and assist in coordinating daily site operations.
Monitor material usage, deliveries, and ensure proper documentation.
Assist with concrete testing, reinforcement checks, and reporting.
Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for internal review.
Ensure that safety measures are consistently implemented and followed.
Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
- Completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Must be Registered with EIZ.
- Basic understanding of construction processes, drawings, and safety standards.
- Strong willingness to learn, work on-site, and take initiative.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
- Proficiency in drawing software such as AUTOCAD and REVIT
- Must be able to use a dumpy level and laser level tools
