About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Boiler Operator to operate and monitor boiler systems efficiently, ensuring a reliable steam supply for production operations while maintaining high safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate boilers in accordance with approved operating procedures.
  • Maintain accurate daily boiler logbooks and operating records.
  • Monitor coal consumption and ensure efficient fuel usage.
  • Inspect boiler equipment and report defects promptly.
  • Monitor water treatment systems, chemicals, and salt levels.
  • Remove boiler ash safely and maintain housekeeping standards.
  • Coordinate with Production regarding steam demand requirements.
  • Follow shift handover and takeover procedures.
  • Support maintenance activities as directed by supervisors.
  • Ensure compliance with all Safety, Health and Environment requirements.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Boiler Attendant Certificate preferred.
  • Boiler Operator Certificate will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to identify and respond to operational issues promptly.
